Tips to stay on course on your diet plan

Hey everyone! The last time I talked about the importance of getting the right mindset and perspective in regards to eating, dieting and food in general. So for today's post, I'm gonna share my favourite pointers to help stay on course on any #diet plan. 1. Drink lots and lots of water (Not soda, not juice, WATER).

Have some water before a meal no matter how hungry you are. Make sure you drink lots of water before, during and after your workouts so you won't feel as tired during your workout and you won't have such bad cravings to eat everything in sight afterwards.

Yup, fried chicken is my favourite food

2. Realize when you're eating emotionally and curb (not eliminate) your cravings.

Okay, we've all been there, myself included. We get hungry, we overeat and we feel guilty afterwards. Plan out your meals and plan out how you intend to satisfy your cravings (some might call these 'cheat meals') before the massive build up and it turns into emotional outburst. But, if this happens... 3. Don't stress over it.

Honestly, I don't count my calories and I don't count my macros very accurately either. Yup there, I've said it. I find it too stressful which in my opinion is worst than overeating. While I have to admit I can adopt this relaxed approach from years of experience and I do applaud those who take the trouble to track their calories and macros. My point is it's okay to be slightly off, it's not the end of the world. Which brings me to my final point... 4. The best diet is one you can stick to.

I've seen lots of diet fads over the years. No matter how you choose to cut your calories and curb your appetite, always remember this is something you need to be patient with and it needs to be sustainable with your lifestyle in the long run. I'll be signing off for now, but if you found this useful and want me to talk and post more about my diet tips and approach towards it, do let me know!
